OUR PROCESS
Coordination & Safety Plan
We coordinate shutdown and decommissioning with a licensed elevator or escalator contractor. Hoistways, pits, and machine rooms are secured, while barricades and safety signage protect public and work areas throughout the project.
Make-Safe & Isolation
All power supplies, controls, and communication systems are isolated. Counterweights, traction components, and guide rails are stabilized following specialist procedures. For escalators, pit access and mechanical lockouts are verified to ensure a hazard-free environment.
Disassembly & Rigging
Elevator cabs, motors, rails, controllers, or escalator trusses, steps, and drives are carefully dismantled. Components are rigged out using hoistways, cranes, or interior access routes with strict dust and debris control to protect surrounding spaces.
Shaft/Penetration Closure & Handover
All openings are made safe and temporarily closed according to project scope, ready for your infill or renovation contractor. Recyclable metals are sorted and processed responsibly. A detailed completion note documents all removals and decommissioning steps.
